Following the news last month that the MoD is considering putting an end to the funding for the Red Arrows display team a petition has been set up on the <a href=”http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/SaveTheReds/” target=”_blank”>10 Downing Street website</a> saying that “We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Continue funding for the Royal AIr Force Aerobatics Team – The Red Arrows”.
At the time of writing 1,191 signatures had been added to the petition.
The MoD has said that no decision has yet been taken about scrapping the Reds, and is in fact increasing the group’s funding next year.
