Scottish flying school ACS Aviation is again offering two flying scholarships during 2026. It’s the seventh year the Perth-based school has run the scheme.

The winners of the ACS Aviation scholarship will receive 8 hours of flight training in a brand new Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft, towards a Private Pilot Licence plus 12 months membership and a Bose A30 aviation headset.

The full value of the scholarship package is £4,500 and comprises:

  • 8 hours of flight training £2,500
  • Study materials, checklist & logbook £275
  • 1-2-1 PPL ground school tuition £225
  • 12 months flying membership £230
  • Bose A30 headset included as part of the award, vlue £1,270

ACS Aviation says it will grant the scholarships with the aim of supporting individuals who might otherwise not have the necessary resources. The intent is to deliver a meaningful and properly supported entry into flight training, removing key early cost barriers rather than offering flying hours in isolation.

Erin Harvey, Training Manager at ACS Aviation, said, “We are thrilled to be running the scholarship awards for a 7th consecutive year! These help young men and woman take important steps toward reaching their aviation goals.”
