Shuttleworth announces 2014 airshow dates

The Shuttleworth Collection in Bedfordshire has announced the 2014 dates for its airshows.
The Collection at Old Warden near Biggleswade will host eleven themed airshows between May and October, including two evening airshows where visitors can see unique, vintage aircraft take to the skies. The Shuttleworth Collection also holds the largest number of flying WWI aircraft and the airshows offer the perfect opportunity to see these majestic aeroplanes in flight.
The Collection is open to visitors all year round, with its signature airshows or ‘flying dates’ attracting visitors from around the country. In addition to the popular Military Pageant and Close-Up-and-Personal (formerly Meet the Pilots) shows, this year the Shuttleworth Collection will host a special WWI Commemoration Airshow in August as well as an Edwardian Picnic & Evening airshow, where visitors will be able to see the Bristol Boxkite (pictured).
Una Watts, general manager of Shuttleworth Trust said, “We’re looking forward to all of the exciting airshows that we have planned for 2014 and expect to see a great turnout in line with previous years. With free entry to children aged under 16years, it really is a great day out for families.”
