Much has been written about the relative successes of the UK gyrocopter market over recent years, and it appears that the marketplace is due to increase with the arrival of a couple of new models from German manufacturer Trixy Aviation.
While FLYER was talking to Trixy’s CEO, Rainer Farrag, discussions were taking place with an established UK gyrocopter agent to take on the dealership for Trixy’s two mainstream models, the Liberty and Princess. Both models are two-seat tandem designs, with a side-by-side model due for launch next year. The aircraft come with a choice of Rotax engines, including the Trixy 912Ti, a tweaked version of the 912iS delivering 130-160hp, designed to increase climb rates, range and fuel consumption rates. Prices for the Trixy gyros start at €45,500.
