Aerobatic and Upset Recovery Training school, Ultimate High, is partnering with Goodwood Aviation to deliver a dedicated Flight Safety Forum for the General Aviation community.

The event will take place at Goodwood Aerodrome on Sunday, 17 May 2026 at no cost to participants. However, it is limited to 100 places with just 55 remaining at the time of writing.

“Goodwood Aviation’s generous support — including half-price landing fees for visiting aircraft — reflects a clear and welcome commitment to safety leadership within UK aviation,” said Mark Greenfield, boss of Ultimate High.

What to expect: A full day of practical, evidence-based safety insight, including:

  • Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT)
  • GA accident analysis with insights from the AAIB
  • Managing startle & surprise
  • Human factors in Loss of Control accidents
  • Engine management best practice (with Nicholson McLaren Aviation & Lycoming)
  • Landing technique and approach discipline
  • Optional UPRT taster flights

“Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I) remains the leading cause of fatal accidents in General Aviation,” continued Mark. “Improving outcomes isn’t just about regulation — it’s about shared learning, honest discussion, and a collective commitment to flying better.

“A huge thank you to Goodwood for hosting and supporting what we hope will become a flagship annual safety event.

“If you’re a GA pilot looking to sharpen your skills and be part of a positive, professional safety culture — we would be delighted to welcome you.”
