Balado Airfield, on the outskirts of Kinross, Scotland has opened applications for its 2025 Young Aviator Scholarship.
The scholarship is for ten free flying hours towards a National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL). Deadline for applications is 30 September 2025.
“We’re proud to announce that our application window for our 2025 Young Aviator Scholarship is OPEN!” said a statement from the airfield.
The criteria:
- Aged between 16-18 years old
- Have a keen sense of adventure
- Want to receive 10 free NPPL training hours
- Can organise your own way to/from the airfield

“We only have one Scholarship available this year and we expect competition to be high… good luck!” added the airfield.
