Ireland’s Airline Flight Academy (AFA) has announced a new dual EASA and UK CAA Approved APS MCC course, designed for pilots pursuing dual licenses.

This training pathway offers trainee pilots greater flexibility, dual license recognition, and career opportunities for Europe’s competitive airline recruitment market.

The inaugural course will start Monday, 24 November 2025, and will be delivered at AFA’s Dublin training centre and priced at €6,499.

Trainees benefit from instruction on Boeing 737-800 FTDs, operated by AFA’s team of airline-experienced instructors, ensuring a smooth transition from training to the flight deck.

“As Europe’s largest APS MCC provider, we are delighted to expand our offering of courses and will offering even greater choice to future pilots,” said Kilian Hanratty, Commercial and Operations Manager at AFA.

“Whether students aim to fly under EASA, the UK CAA, or both, this course offers opportunity to join industry leading airlines, such as our airline partner Ryanair.”

The APS MCC (Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation) is the final stage of pilot training before airline selection, focusing on advanced multi-crew operations, decision-making, and airline-standard procedures.
