It’s been a long six years with plenty of hard work but TAG Aviation’s Angel Wun has successfully completed her line check and is now officially a Junior First Officer pilot on a Gulfstream G650 business jet, one of the fastest aircraft flying.

Angel’s journey started as a Safety Officer when she joined TAG Aviation in 2018. After being accepted on TAG’s Training Pilot (TTP) programme in 2019, Angel has excelled, earning instrument and multi-engine ratings, including being awarded the Sir Donald Anderson award for her ATPL results.

Angel has been instructing in TAG’s sister company, Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) since 2019, finishing her tour as a Grade Two Instructor.

According to Angel, teaching from a single engine to a twin-engine aircraft, from VFR to IFR has given her a unique insight, with the added satisfaction of helping students go through their training.

This in turn, polished Angel’s flying skills and built her confidence and assertiveness. By the end of her journey in FTA, Angel had more than 2,100 flying hours.

Angel had the extra pressure of completing the programme during some challenging times including the pandemic which lasted longer in Asia, but through sheer determination and hard work, she completed the programme.

“I shall always be grateful and honoured for the opportunity TAG has given me to reach this point in my career,” said Angel.

“We are proud of Angel and her accomplishment,” said Juan Mas, Director of Flight Operations. “Her success demonstrates the effectiveness of our investment in young talent and reinforces that our people are our greatest asset.”

TAG Aviation says it is committed to addressing the industry-wide shortage of properly trained and qualified business aviation professionals through comprehensive training, mentorship and development programmes.

TAG Aviation offers a broad range of services in business aviation including aircraft management, charter, maintenance, training and has FBOs and bases around the world.
