Owners of early‑model Cirrus SR20 and SR22 aircraft can bring their panels up to date with Avidyne’s newly certified Vantage 12 flight display system.

The Vantage 12 replaces ageing Entegra displays with a pair of 12‑inch touchscreens – Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi‑Function Display (MFD) – complete with 3D Synthetic Vision, terrain awareness, split‑screen mapping, and dual‑redundant attitude sensors.

Avidyne CEO Dan Schwinn said, “Vantage 12 modernises the flight deck with great new features, but retains the intuitive ease of use that current Entegra users will recognise.”

The upgrade can be done in one go or in stages, according to Avidyne. Many owners have already fitted the DFC90 autopilot and Avidyne IFD navigators – both of which integrate with the new displays. An ‘EZ Install Kit’ keeps downtime to a minimum, and the larger screens fit without panel surgery or glare‑shield mods.

What you get

  • 12-inch touchscreen PFD & MFD – brighter, faster, more detailed
  • 3D Synthetic Vision – terrain, traffic, obstacles, airports, and flight plan overlay
  • Dual Attitude Reference Systems – autopilot keeps flying even if a PFD fails
  • Charts & Maps – Jeppesen approach charts, airport diagrams, digital VFR charts
  • Flexible interface – touchscreen or dedicated knobs/buttons.

The Vantage 12 system is priced at $33,000 USD (PFD & MFD, with core return). An optional second Air Data Computer and magnetometer adds $9,500. Additional costs apply for installation kits, overlays, and supporting avionics.
