Tecnam has announced the Rivale, a new single-engine touring aircraft that will sit above the P2010 in Tecnam’s range to become the Italian manufacturer’s flagship model.
Introduced today at Oshkosh, the Rivale is aimed primarily at private owners. Its likely competitors include established high-end touring aircraft such as the Cirrus SR22 and Diamond DA50.
Engine: 300 hp Continental CD-300 V6 turbo-diesel with Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC).
Avionics: Garmin G2000 Prime integrated flight deck.
Market position: Rivale will sit above the P2010, currently Tecnam’s leading single-engine model.
Tecnam has shown parts of the aircraft, including the fuselage and engine cowling, but has not yet published final figures for cruising speed, range or price. The completed Rivale is expected to make its worldwide public debut at AERO Friedrichshafen in 2027.
