The Singapore Airshow has been at wide open throttle this week and among the torrent of announcements are two from leading pilot training company CAE.
First, CAE has been working with airliner maker Embraer for years through a joint venture called Embraer-CAE Training Services and they have just extended the training to include Embraer’s new electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft known as Eve.
The first full flight simulator based on Eve is under construction by CAE, which already makes simulators for many airliners and business jets.
The simulator will also play a role in the certification process for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft as well as preparing pilots for safe, efficient operations ahead of Eve’s planned entry into service.
Luiz Mauad, Vice President, Customer Services at Eve Air Mobility, said, “This simulator is a critical investment in ensuring Eve pilots receive world-class training as we advance toward commercial operations.

The second announcement from CAE is that it is extending its long‑standing partnership with TAG Aviation, a leading operator of business jets.
TAG Aviation pilots in Asia and Europe will train on a variety of aircraft types throughout CAE’s global network at the company’s state-of-the-art training centres in Dubai, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Vienna, the United States and Canada.
The business jets covered by the agreement are:
* Gulfstream G280, G450, 550, G650
* Bombardier Global 7500, Global Express, Global Vision
* Dassault Falcon 2000, 2000EX, 2000EX EASy II, 7X, 6X
* Embraer Phenom 300
