Diamond has revealed that it is intending to have its new DA50 make its US debut later this month at the Oshkosh Airventure Fly-in.
The DA50 – now name the ‘Super Star’ – “will surely be a big hit,” said CEO Christian Dries. “We have planned an aggressive development and certification schedule with production to start no later than January 2008.”
The single-engine aircraft <a href=’http://www.flyer.co.uk/news/newsfeed.php?artnum=516′ target=’_blank’>first flew in April</a>, and appeared in public at the <a href=’http://www.flyer.co.uk/news/newsfeed.php?artnum=527′ target=’_blank’>Aero 2007</a> exhibition in Friedrichshafen later the same month.
It was first announced towards the end of last year.
