Eclipse reveals Concept Personal Jet

VLJ manufacturer Eclipse – creator the Eclipse 500, one of the first VLJs <a href=”http://www.flyer.co.uk/news/newsfeed.php?artnum=400″>to be delivered</a> – has unveiled its new aircraft at the EAA’s Airventure at Oshkosh.

The new type, which made its first flight at the start of July (a bare 200 days after the project started development) is a single jet, V-tailed design with seating for four should be capable of 345 kt at FL 350, have a service ceiling of 41,000 ft and a range of 1,250 nm. It is equipped with Avio NG avionics.

If you’re wondering how much it’s going to cost – don’t. It’s proof-of-concept (hence the name) and is not for sale. Instead, says Eclipse, the ECJ is being soley used for market research.
