A US flight training school, Paragon Flight Training based in Florida, is the first customer for ALSIM’s new simulator for the Piper P100i specialist training aircraft.

The ALSIM AL100i is an exact replica of the P100i. The simulator will be designed to FTD 5 standard, offering a full-size replica cockpit, a semi-enclosed instructor station, an active electrical control loading, and a specific flight model based on aircraft flight characteristics.

The AL100i will feature an immersive visual system with three projectors, and will be equipped with Garmin G3X and GNX375 avionics.

The Piper Pilot 100i was introduced in 2019 as a specialist training version of the Piper PA-28, now in production for over 60 years. It has a PA-28-181 airframe with a third observer seat and a 180hp Lycoming fuel injected engine. It also comes standard with the Garmin G3X touch avionics suite, complete with a G5 standby display, GFC 500 autopilot, and Electronic Stability Protection.

Paragon Flight Training has ordered a total of 50 Piper to replenish its fleet before 2027, including more than ten P100i aircraft.

Mickael Herard of ALSIM said, “Thanks to 25 years of experience with Garmin avionic integration, our development team has successfully faced the challenge of interfacing the original G3X and GNX 375.

“This feature, in conjunction with an extremely accurate representation of the cockpit based on a 3D scan, contributes to offering the most realistic P100i simulator on the market. A special thanks to Piper Aircraft for their help in achieving this!”

Paragon Flight Training trains commercial, professional, and recreational pilots as well as offering military pilot training for domestic and foreign governments.
