Grob delivers to French Air Force

Grob Aerospace has delivered the first two of 18 Grob 120A-F aircraft to the French Air Force which will be used for ab initio training.

The G 120A-F is a variant of the composite G 120A specifically designed for the French requirements. It is powered by a 260hp Lycoming. The variant was first flown in February this year, Grob says, and received EASA certification just last week.

The balance of the 18 airframes should be delivered by the end of the year.

A number of Air Forces around the world, including the RAF, use Grobs for training. The RAF uses the ‘Tutor’, a variant of the G 115E.
