Isle of Man register launches in May

The Isle of Man will be launching its official aircraft register at the start of May, along with a new range of aviation services branded as ‘FlyMann’. It is intended that the Aircraft Register will mirror the success of the Island’s highly respected and successful shipping and superyacht register.

According to the website of the company behind the register – Equiom Trust Company Limited (formerly Anglo Irish Trust Company Limited) – “the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has been informed by the UK Department of Transport that the Isle of Man will be operating an aircraft register under the auspices of the UK as the Contracting State to the Chicago Convention.”

Isle of Man registered aircraft will carry the prefix M- followed by four letters.
