Mode S is, of course, one of the big issues of the among private pilots at the moment, with uncertainty and disinformation surrounding the whole issue. So it’s interesting to hear of a new initiative to help pilots:

“The contact details for fleet operators are +44 (0)1959-579880 or <a href=”mailto:[email protected]”>[email protected]</a> as fleet owners will want to schedule any updates in order to keep as many aircraft available as possible.
“Through these links both organisations will be able to offer a range of different options covering the requirement for mode-s, ranging from direct pin-for-pin replacement transponders, up to all the equipment for a new installation, including a recommendation of a local installer.”
Stephen Gosling of Adams Aviation added: “Our unabashed aim with this service is to demystify the whole subject of Mode S Transponders and to help our clients – trade or retail, aircraft group-owners to fleet owners – to find exactly the right Mode S solution for them.”
