The two majority owners of Pipistrel Aircraft, Taja and founder Ivo Boscarol, have been spending some of the cash raised from selling the company to Textron – they’ve donated €21m to their local community for a new health clinic.

The donation will also support a multi-purpose helicopter service at Ajdovščina Airport, and an aviation history museum with a science centre. Completion of the project is planned by 2026.

Ajdovščina Mayor Tadej Beočanin thanked the donors on behalf of the citizens for the gesture, “which will undoubtedly improve the quality of life of citizens”.

At the signing ceremony, Ivo Boscarol praised the fact that the Municipality has approached the projects diligently and announced that he and his daughter Taja will continue to strive for the development of the local community.
