The Red Bull Air Race circus has moved into the UK, with the arrival of the competing aircraft at Wycombe Air Park yesterday. From there they moved to Damyns Hall airstrip in Essex, before making the trip into the London City zone to populate the ‘pits’ area, on waste land just north of the London City Airport. It’s here that the Red Bull team has built a new airstrip for the event.
The race itself takes place on Sunday, through pylons which have been fixed to barges moored on the Thames near the O2 (formerly known as the Millennium Dome).
