Cotswold Airport scholarship

“Once in a lifetime opportunity to kickstart an aviation career!” That’s the annual week-long scholarships being offered by Cotswold Airport (Kemble) which has just started accepting applications for 2023.

During the week, which starts on Monday 31 July, eight young people aged between 15 and 18, will visit aviation companies based at the airport to see how they work. They vary from engineering firms creating key components for aircraft, airport firefighting, military operations, air traffic services and companies involved in innovative design and development towards the future of aviation.

There’s also a chance to fly with one of the locally based flying schools. A mixture of flights are on offer including microlights, light aircraft and helicopters, along with simulator sessions.

The scholarship is open to people who reside in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire, aged between 15 and 18. Cotswold Airport’s aim has always been to make the aviation community as accessible as possible to scholars from all backgrounds and experience levels. No previous aviation experience or a background in flying is necessary to apply.
