CubCrafters has announced that the Top Cub and Sport Cub are joining their line-up. The company received the type certificate for the Top Cub in December.
The Top Cub standard features include a 1,200lb empty weight, an 1,100lb useful load, redesigned struts, 26G adjustable Oregon Aero seats and a 52 gallon fuel system.
It will be offered in three versions, each having unique interiors, paint schemes and options.
Similar to the PA-11 or original PA-18, the Sport Cub is designed to have a far more comfortable airframe, pilot-friendly cockpit, a Continental O-200 engine, all-new avionics suite and many new safety features and enhancements. Initial prices should be under $90,000.
